“ Fantastic and authentic Middle Eastern food. Service was phenomenal and ambience is relaxed but lively. The shawarma’s and mezzeh platter are scrumptious. Must have if you are in Burlington. ”
“ Best new restaurant we’ve been to in the Burlington area for years. The food was fresh and delicious. The flavors were perfection. Staff was very kind and helpful. We are so grateful we live so close! We will definitely be back and will tell everyone we know to try this place out. The decoration and ambiance of the restaurant was also welcoming and authentic. ”
“ I've had the food delivered and at the restaurant, it's delicious both ways. The serving is size is worth the price and every dish is amazing. If you haven’t had good falafel before you might think you don't like it, try it here first before making a final judgement. Also genuine knafeh which was a pleasant surprise. ”
“ This is such a beautiful, family-owned small business that deserves so much support. The authentic Middle Eastern food at Zaytoona is truly unmatched. I live in an area with many Middle Eastern restaurants, but none compare to this one. The atmosphere and decor is nostalgic, and the service is amazing as well. Everything is halal, and they offer great vegetarian options too. I make it a point to visit every time I come to Vermont. I highly recommend the chicken shawarma sandwich, as well as the kanafeh and saffron cake! Even coming in for afternoon tea and dessert is delightful here with friends! ”
“ Fresh, flavorful food, in a bright, clean space, and the nicest staff! Very impressed for my first visit. We loved the all the food, but that saffron cake is truly remarkable! We will definitely be back! ”
“ We came in for a late lunch with my family for the first time. We started with mint lemonade with a dash of pomegranate to drink and the mezze starter platter. The pita was warm and went well with the light and not greasy falafels. The babaganoush, hummus, and labneh were excellent and we brought home some of it as we needed more pita to use it up. Enjoyed the lamb shawarma which was flavorful with the labneh and the hand cut fries with smoked paprika were nice. My husband had the falafel bowl and the rice was nice with it. Looking forward to coming back. ”
“ Zaytoona is an absolute gem! The food was beyond delicious—especially the shawarma, which was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff made the experience even better with their friendly and attentive service. You can really feel the care they put into every part of the meal. I’m so glad I stopped by and will definitely be returning soon. Highly recommend Zaytoona to anyone looking for authentic Middle Eastern flavors and top-notch hospitality! ”
“ Stopped in for lunch on their first full day. The food was great, service was good. A new server was training and clearly still getting everything completely set up. The place is small, but looks nice. I had the lamb shawarma and really enjoyed it. Side note, why isn’t lamb more common in the US? A couple years back I was traveling in Uzbekistan and lamb was in every dish. Just came back from a few weeks in the UK, lamb everywhere. Anyhow, the chef came by the table and asked if we like everything, we did. I asked some questions about the sauce, he was happy to explain. Will definitely be back. ”
